ANTONIO MAGGIO TELLS HIS ORIGINS IN THE NEW SINGLE “RADICI”
With Rootsthe singer-songwriter offers a reflection on personal identity and the connection with one's land. The common thread is the relationship with what has defined us since childhood. The song addresses the theme of belonging through images linked to memories, places and people that continue to accompany us even when life takes us away from home.
The musical structure follows this idea: the beginning is collected and almost confidential, while the chorus opens with a broader arrangement, supported by a wind and string section that emphasizes the sense of return and reconciliation with one's roots.
The contribution of the guests is also fundamental. The multi-instrumentalist's native flute Leo Rojas adds an evocative and spiritual dimension to the song, while i Sud Sound System they bring their unmistakable style, enriched by the use of the Salento dialect, strengthening the link with the popular culture of the area.

The artist explained the birth of the song like this: “I wanted to pay homage to the experience, the looks and the landscapes that I carry within me every day, because I believe that our origins are the compass that helps us find our way back when we risk getting lost“.
Antonio Maggio he continues by stating: “It is a journey made of nostalgia, but also of gratitude, because I understood that the roots do not hold us back: they support us. We often move away from the place we come from to chase our dreams, but a memory, a perfume or a photograph is enough to immediately feel the call“.
