Annalisa will not be among the big names at Sanremo 2027. A few weeks after the announcement of her first concert at the San Siro stadium, scheduled for 12 June next year, the singer closed the door on the Festival in an interview with TV Smiles and Songs: the priority is entirely for the Milanese show, the first in a stage of his career.
Many fans hoped to see her competing in the edition that marks the debut of Stefano De Martino management and artistic direction. The singer, however, has no doubts and when asked about the Festival she replied: “For goodness sake, I have too much to do at San Siro, otherwise I'll get confused”. A choice of total concentration, which also led her to give up a new single for the summer: “I preferred not to release a new single. Summer song was released in March and will have a longer life”.
Annalisa, the no to Sanremo to dedicate herself to San Siro
In the meantime, work on the stadium has already begun. “I have already started working on the San Siro lineup“said the singer, explaining how that stage was a long-held goal: “San Siro has been in my belly and in my head for a while, I was looking for the right moment. I want to put on an unforgettable show. I think it's right for those who come to see me. I'm already working on it and all I do is imagine it continuously”.
The renunciation of the Festival, moreover, is also explained by the calendar: preparing the stadium and the Sanremo race in parallel would have meant wasting too much energy. Hence the decision to leave room for Summer songthe provocative song released on March 13th for Atlantic/Warner Music Italyand not to crowd the summer with another release.
Sanremo 2027, the Eurovision evening separate from the race
The news of her failure to return to the Festival generated some disappointment on the part of the singer's fans at the sight of the news of the next edition of the event. In De Martino's new Sanremo, the artist who will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest will no longer necessarily be the winner of the Festival, but will be chosen in a dedicated evening. A change that would have made his hypothetical return to Ariston even more special, and which makes his absence a little more regret for those who follow him.
They will have the opportunity to make up for it, however, with the debut at San Siro of Annalisa: all the energy, for now, goes there.
