It looks like you but it's not you is the title of the new album by Francesco Saccoavailable in digital stores from November 29, 2024. It is an introspective album, in which the Milanese singer-songwriter and producer addresses the question: who am I really?
Francesco Sacco it exposes the anxiety of not recognizing oneself. Each track addresses a different aspect: from not feeling part of society to no longer being certain of who you are. And again, from not feeling part of one's city to no longer recognizing oneself in the language. The album deals with multifaceted themes, from different points of view and with heterogeneous linguistic registers: bourgeois boredom, depression, anger, spirit, love.
It looks like you but it's not you (Nicotina Dischi/ADA Music) follows the record The human voice released in 2020, and to the two-part project: A – Solitude, Hedonism, Consumption And B – Life, Death, Miracles. The album is written by Francesco Sacco; and is composed, arranged and produced by the artist himself and Luca Pasquinowith the contribution of Elso And Federico Dragogna. Recording, mixing and mastering are by Mattia Cominotto at Green Fog Studio.

“Writing and recording this work was like giving voice to many different stories, even if the voice that tells them is always mine.“, tells Francesco Sacco.
“This is also the result of the working method that I have adopted: certain songs are written and produced only by me, others were written starting from an idea by Luca Pasquino, still others found their right dimension only in the final part of the work , in the studio with Mattia Cominotto. In this dynamic every idea has changed: a hip hop rhythm has become the basis for a ballad, a razor-sharp synth sings a lullaby, a classical guitar accompanies the cruelest words on the record. Everything was done according to the story and the essence of the song has always dictated any indecision”.
The artist continues: “The various tracks are then interspersed with real Whatsapp audio notes sent to me by Alex Lombardo, a dear friend much older than me to whom I owe a lot: he often sends me apparently meaningless brilliant ideas, postulates that seem like a manifesto, jokes that only we understand. It seemed to me to be a very important story element, a sort of Virgil guiding Dante on his journey, only decidedly more psychedelic”.
The November 29, 2024on the occasion of the album's release, Francesco Sacco presents the songs live. Al Base Milanin Via Bergognone n. 34, the release concert is held. Entrance is free upon reservation (here is the link to book).
