Cesare Cremonini has announced a new album, his eighth as a soloist. Is called Alaska Baby and will be released on November 29th. The album was anticipated on September 24th by the single Now that I no longer have you.
Alaska Baby will contain 12 autobiographical songs, produced by Cremonini with Alessandro De Crescenzo and Alessio Natalizia. «An album born on the border, in which once again I tried to overcome my limits. The most important theme of Alaska Baby is that of rebirth. All the songs are linked to this thread. Redemption, forgiveness, reward, everything passes through the courage to love, something that we inevitably feel we deserve but which worries and scares us. We are all in need of this, of being reborn through love.” This is how the artist described the new work.
The album artwork has also been revealed, inspired by the Brion Tomb of the architect and designer Carlo Scarpa: the symbol is that of two opposites that come to meet.
Meanwhile, the Rest of the Pug reports further advances on Alaska Baby: among the 12 songs there could be a duet with Luca Carboni with Bologna and San Luca at the center (and which should be longer than 5 minutes).
