The rush for tickets for the three Italian dates of Bob Dylan's new tour has started. Two days after the opening of the general sale, scheduled for Wednesday 22 July on Ticketone, the exclusive presale reserved for users registered on the Virgin Radio website has started from 11am today.
The American singer-songwriter, who will turn 85 in 2026, will return to our country for three concerts: November 2 at the Unipol Dome in Milan, November 5 at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome and November 7 at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna).
Ticket prices
The presale made it possible to know the first ticket prices. For the Milan date, the first numbered sector costs 161 euros, the second 126.50 euros, the third 98.90 euros and the fifth numbered sector 69 euros.
In Rome the prices are slightly higher: 172.50 euros for the first numbered sector, 149.50 euros for the second, 115 euros for the third and 89.70 euros for the fifth numbered sector.
For the Bologna concert, at least at this stage, only two VIP packages are available: the “VIP 1 Front Row” at 458.92 euros and the “VIP 2 Gold Hot” at 422.69 euros.
To find out the availability and prices of ordinary tickets, you will have to wait for the start of general sales.
The three Italian dates will follow the “phone free” format adopted by Dylan for several years. At the entrance, mobile phones, smartwatches, video cameras and other recording devices will be placed in the appropriate Yondr cases, which will remain with the owners but can only be opened in authorized areas. During the concert it will therefore not be possible to take photographs or record audio or video, with the aim of promoting a listening experience without distractions and away from screens.
Once the presale phase reserved for Virgin Radio subscribers has ended, any tickets still available will be put on sale to the public from 10am on Wednesday 22 July through authorized circuits.
The new guitarist
Meanwhile, Bob Dylan's band continues to change its face. During the recent stages of the “Rough And Rowdy Ways Tour”, a new guitarist debuted at the PNC Pavilion in Cincinnati and at Stage AE in Pittsburgh: Jad Tariq, called to replace Julian Lage. Lage had joined the lineup only a few weeks ago, taking over from Doug Lancio, but had to leave the tour to fulfill already scheduled commitments. Joel Paterson also arrived at the same time, taking over from Bob Britt. A continuous rotation that confirms how Dylan's line-up is now constantly evolving.
Twenty-nine year old Jad Tariq is a guitarist and singer appreciated for his style which has its roots in jazz, swing and jump blues. In September he will release the new album “Precious Company”, but at the moment it is not clear whether his joining the band is destined to last. In fact, Julian Lage himself will return to his concerts in the United States in the autumn, while Dylan will be busy on a European tour.
