Before Scar he tore up the turf with hard trap and street attitude. Sharp voice, minimal beats, zero compromises. Then 18Kwhich raised the temperature: autotune, melody and provocation. Two generations of Italian rap preparing the ground, one after the other, like two acts of a prologue.
The live: Salmo entered without frills, only against the light. Black jacket, microphone, and now “90MIN” to act as a starting point. Rugby Sound exploded.
What is striking about Salmo live is the tension between control and chaos. On the one hand, the meticulous performer: tight band, surgical tempo changes, dark visuals that designed the stage. On the other, the stage animal that runs, jumps into the pit, spits out rhymes and takes over the audience verse after verse.
It spanned his entire discography as if it were a single concept. From “The first kiss on the moon” to “The Angel of Adrenaline”up to the dirtiest and most industrial new parts. The moment of fracture has arrived “Hernia”: low red lights, just drums and vocals. Then explosion on “Shut up” with the whole camp singing at the top of their lungs.
It's not pop, it's not rap. It's contemporary rock theatre. Salmo uses the stage as an altar: he brings anger, irony, social criticism and then tears it to pieces with a riff.
The atmosphere: Legnano responded present. 20 thousand people, transversal. Guys in 2012 sweatshirts and new record fans. Zero distances between stage and lawn. Sweat, dust, choirs.
