The video clip for “Cattedrale” is released today, a new song by Francamente which will be in radio rotation from Friday 3 July. The song is taken from “Bitte Leben” (Carosello Records), the debut album of the Turin singer-songwriter, finalist in the Targhe Tenco 2026 in the Best First Album category.
The video is available below.
“Cattedrale” is one of the symbolic songs of the album and contains its central themes: the desire to become a safe place for those you love, the vision of a society in which everyone can be a “cathedral” made of light and welcome, and the search for freedom, evoked through figures such as Giordano Bruno and Joan of Arc.
Directed by Marco Cruz and Elena Cavazzini, the video clip collects images of the first concerts of the tour, between Bologna and Milan. “We wanted to tell a song that was plural, shared, chewed and danced to,” explains Frankly. “Each of us can be a cathedral for someone else, offering protection and freedom, just as any place can be transformed into a sacred space inhabited by love and care.”
“Cattedrale” also marks the beginning of the collaboration with the producer Goedi, alias Diego Montinaro. From this daily work in the studio an album was born that intertwines songwriting and electronics, taking inspiration from figures such as Kate Bush, Giuni Russo and Alice: artists who have built a personal path without bowing to models or conventions.
Meanwhile, the full band summer tour, organized by OTR Live, continues. After the performances at Napoli Pride and Torino Pride, Francamente will go on stage on July 22nd at “D come Dannate Ingenue” with Carmen Consoli in Milan, on July 25th at “Voci per la Libertà” in Rovigo, on July 26th at the Hi-Ho Music Festival in Capannori (Lucca), on August 2nd at Camosci Sound in Sant'Ambrogio in Turin, on August 6th at the Minamò Festival in Martirano Lombardo (Catanzaro), on 7 August at the Polifonie Music Festival in Rivello (Potenza), on 10 August at the Luce Festival in Gallipoli (Lecce), on 11 August at “Nuvole, Chitarre e Note” in Carovilli (Isernia), on 13 August at the Kulturfestivalen in Stockholm, on 16 August at the Woodstock Beach Festival in Marina di Ravenna and on 4 September at the DumBO Summertime in Bologna. Information and tickets are available here.
Published last April 17, “BITTE LEBEN” combines intimate and evocative lyrics with a pop that alternates more introspective moments with more energetic and dance-like ones, allowing itself to be contaminated by electronic sounds. Declared influences include Lucio Battisti, Lola Young, Tame Impala, New Order, Franco Battiato and The Cure.
Frankly it is the project of the Turin singer-songwriter Francesca Siano who merges songwriting and electronics. After his debut in 2020 and the Berlin experience, where he deepened his research into street music, techno and cold wave, in 2024 he moved to Milan, started the collaboration with Basta Musica and Costello's Records and participated in X Factor Italia. Since 2025 he has worked with the producer Goedi (Diego Montinaro), released the singles “Zagara”, “Telephone Tango”, “La casa dei mia nonni” and “Sirene sulla Luna”, opened some dates of Carmen Consoli's tour and signed with Carosello Records. On April 17, 2026, the debut album “Bitte Leben” was released, finalist in the 2026 Targhe Tenco as Best First Album. Since May she has been involved in the album presentation tour together with her band.
