Olly he opened his last night The Grand Finale at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium Of Genoa: 30,000 people, a stage over 50 meters long and a surprise announcement that projects the singer-songwriter directly into summer 2027. The first of three sold out dates in his city brought live music back to Ferraris 22 years after the last concert, that of Vasco Rossi in 2004.
We met him at a press conference a few hours before going on stage. The result is a portrait of an artist who talks about himself in the third person to distinguish the writer from the performer, who proudly claims his second thoughts and who, on the controversies of the moment, once again chooses music as the only medium.
Olly, the first concert at the stadium: “Tutti a casa”, in Genoa
Everyone at homeLike this Olly he chose to call the three dates unique in his Genoa of 18, 20 and 21 June. Announced eight months ago on the occasion of the double Big Party at the Milan Hippodrome last September, and sold out in a very short time, the Genoese concerts represent an achievement for the singer-songwriter, in his first experience on the stage of a stadium in front of 90,000 spectators in three days, and for the city which sees Luigi Ferraris reopening to music after 22 years since the last live appointment (Vasco Rossi20 June 2004).
We talked about it here: Olly announces “Tutti a casa” from the Milan Hippodrome and, subsequently, with the second sold out and the third date at Ferraris.
To dates in his city, the summer of 2026 of Olly adds two more events, all produced and organized by Magellan Concerts: June 30th to Rock in Rome (Capannelle Hippodrome) and on 3 July at Royal Palace of Caserta. Five dates that make up The Grand Finale of a year spent among racecourses, arenas (20 dates throughout Italy), stadiums and large spaces, which to date has involved 500,000 spectators. All the details on dates and tickets can be found in our in-depth analysis: Olly, The Grand Finale 2026: dates, lineup and tickets.

The press conference: Olly talks about himself before the live show
On the news of the show and the growth path
“I've certainly grown up, a lot of time has passed since the first experiences I had. The show will be quite similar to the one I've already seen, but with a year and a half more experience, both mine and that of all the instrumentalists who are with me, and of us together. The alchemy is increasingly stronger. And Roberta, who has joined us now, has also fit in perfectly. It will be similar, but obviously with something new, because we never like to do the same thing. The desire is to always surprise those who are never there been, and to surprise even more those who have already come, because there are so many people who are coming back, are coming back, are coming back, and this is the thing that makes us happiest. Besides a new song that I care a lot about,. CANTILENEreleased on Juli's album: it's the real, real, real news, because it had never been in the setlist or played before in other concerts.”
When asked if he has ever faltered, Olly replies without hesitation: “Yes, I am a human being, I have faltered many times, both in work and life choices. Always: since I left Genoa to go to Milan, since I decided to stay in Milan, since I did Sanremo. So yes, with pride. They have never been choices taken lightly, but I am surrounded by people I trust blindly, who help me understand when things can be done and when not. It's a work of many people who are under my name. So I feel at ease.”
On the balance between studio and stage
“These last two years were the first in which I had to balance Olly, sorry if I speak in the third person, Olly who writes in the studio, who thinks, who creates, who also needs to experience a certain discomfort, and then the performer part, which is a completely different thing. It was the first time in which I had to let both of these parts of me live almost simultaneously. From December 2024 we did the first club tour, then the second in May, the Eurovision one, the Racecourses, seven arenas, thirteen arenas, and these three stadiums, which I thought were the first three and the only ones in this phase of life that I'm in.”
On the band: “When you play together, and you play a lot, you create a unique soul, which leads you to do everything with much more tranquility. You have to be sure of being there with a calm soul, knowing that we've already done this thing 150 times. And whether we're in front of 30,000 or five people, nothing changes.”
On the challenge of bringing the show to a stadium
“The direction, being that of a stadium, was to bring a show that, with the necessary proportions, has always had the possibility of emerging in a container like this. And finally in a stadium that hasn't had concerts for a long time, so it's something new for everyone. Simply the acoustics: we're rehearsing in here and we don't know what it usually sounds like, our technicians don't know what it usually sounds like. And we're enjoying all this uncertainty, because it makes us feel part of a general insecurity that gives us great confidence in smashing everything.”
On the lineup, on the repertoire and on the positions taken
“It wasn't easy to propose new things on a setlist in which the songs, in numbers, are the same. It was a difficult job, but I think I managed to involve the public too. They are songs that deserved this step. The desire is to be able to say 'I'm taking something away to put something else in', that is, adding more and more repertoire. At the moment we are bringing three albums, not to mention the various repacks. The repertoire is vast, but we want to expand it more and more.”
On the relationship between music and stances, Olly is clear: “I think that everyone should say what they want a little. Especially when one is an artist, musician, songwriter: the main medium, I think, should be music. It's my idea. For the rest, I don't care if someone thinks something different from what I think. Everyone must do a little what they want, within the limits of not harming the sensitivity of others too much, and try every now and then to open up their own sensitivity too, in a world like today's, to also understand that of others.”
And on what he will say from the stage: “My medium, at the moment, is music. So what I will say will be music. There will be some interludes, I'll spout some bullshit, because I enjoy doing it, especially in situations like these, in which it's the most normal thing in the world: in front of 30,000 people you spout something like this. But that's how I am.”
The band and the show
To accompany Olly on stage The Grand Finale: Juli and his guitar, who also took care of the musical direction of the show together with the singer-songwriter, and the historic collaborator Pierfrancesco Pasini (keyboards and guitar). They also come back Raffaele Littorio “Rufio” (electric guitar), Emanuele Nazzaro “Nazza” (Bass), Dalila Murano (drums), Gabriele Ippolito “Gas Gas” (sax) e Stefan Stancic (violin/keyboards). For the first time on stage, with choirs and percussion, Roberta Gea Gentile.
The renewed arrangements are one of the central elements of the show: the sounds become more rock and biting, in a reinterpretation process that gives new life to even the oldest songs. The front of the stage is 51.50 meters long overall, with a walkway of over 16 meters that ends with stage B; the total video surface is 221 square meters and there are 308 lighting fixtures.
The heart of the show is the conclusion of the journey of ALL LIFE: two years after the album's release, an important chapter in Olly's career closes, a narrative that has grown from small clubs to arenas and stadiums. A lineup full of certifications: 17 platinums and 5 golds for the songs in the set list, to which are added the 8 platinums of ALL LIFE and the 2 platinums of THE WORLD TURNS.
The ALL A HOME Village and the charity initiative with Gaslini
To make the lives at Ferraris even more special, Olly has chosen to give visibility to some local Genoese realities in ALL AT HOME Villagea shared space close to the stadium: from corners dedicated to local delicacies with Boccamatta And Grandpa Giuanup to the stand of Camugin and to the space of Scallop.
The preview of the charity initiative organized by Olly with the also took shape in a dedicated space Gaslini: a special auction with unique objects linked to his artistic career, which will come to life in the coming months in support of the Genoese pediatric hospital through Gaslininsieme ETSa reality set up by the Giannina Gaslini Institute and the Gerolamo Gaslini Foundation.
The Grand Finale comes after the success of Tutta Vita Tour 2025-2026which saw Olly perform in the main Italian cities with 20 events, all sold out. The concerts brought the songs of ALL LIFE (ALWAYS)the most listened to album of 2025 (Epic Records / Sony Music Italy), which has eight platinum records.
