Recorded in Japan and self-produced at the studios NK Sound of Tokyo, the album opens a new chapter in the career of the Mexican duo. The single precedes the album Monsteraccompanied by a video clip created by the famous manga artist Naoki Urasawa. Inspired by the manga of the same name, the song explores the contradictions of the human psyche through one of the most intense and cinematic compositions on the album. «Monster it is a profound and philosophical story that, despite its darkness, leaves room for hope”, he says Gabriela Quintero. Urasawaa fan of the band for years, defined the song as a perfect musical transposition of the atmosphere of his manga.

The collaboration opens the path of OurHomean album deeply influenced by the duo's relationship with Japan. After a period of creative difficulty, Rodrigo and Gabriela they found inspiration again thanks to a renewed reflection on the meaning of “home”, understood as an internal state of balance and authenticity. The album's title was born during a walk in Melbourne, when the two noticed a sign reading “OUR HOME”, interpreting it as a sign of the path they were taking. With a return to predominantly acoustic sounds after the 2023 album In Between Thoughts… A New World, OurHome sees the participation of guests like Marty Friedman, Hiromi, Hiyori Okuda And Yukihiro Atsumi. Mixed by Dave Sardy and mastered by Stephen Marcussenthe album explores themes such as manga, philosophy, nature and personal transformation. “We made this album to celebrate what helps us find our inner home,” he concludes Quintero. «We hope it will inspire those who listen to it to discover what it really means to feel at home.»
