The appointment is for the first evening of Rai 3 on Wednesday 4 June. The film, produced by Our Films, Friends TV, Darallouche And Caravantells the Milanese residence to Out Off Theater which saw De Gregori perform every evening in front of around 200 spectators, between 29 October and 23 November 2024.
The peculiarity of those concerts was the setlist: a selection of around seventy songs that the artist considers the perfect strangers of his repertoire, songs that never reached the popularity of the great classics but which remain important in his career. De Gregori's words on Springsteen and artists who engage in politics
At the presentation of the project, last May 26th at the Out Off in Milan, the singer-songwriter uttered some phrases which fueled a heated debate in the following days. De Gregori said he feels embarrassed in front of artists who use their visibility to take a clear stand on international issues, explicitly citing Bruce Springsteen and his positions against the Trump administration: “Does Springsteen need to say he's against the Trump administration? I do not believe“. And about himself he added: “I have confused ideas, and it seems honest to me to have confused themAnd”.
The statements split the public between those who read a defense of the artist's autonomy and those who saw it as a renunciation of commitment. Among the most direct reactions is that of Morganwho responded on Instagram by claiming that the point is not to take sides but to express an opinion, and going so far as to attack his colleague on a personal level. A position, that of De Gregori towards the “courts of thought”, which has, moreover, accompanied the artist for decades.
