The Lecco Jazz Festival returns from 8 to 11 July 2026, with a renewed program of concerts, popular music and special events capable of transforming the city into a great place for listening, relating and discovering. The beating heart of the 2026 edition will be the Teatro della Società, the completely renovated space that will welcome jazz enthusiasts on a journey through memory, atmosphere and new sound visions. A symbolic place, dedicated to the meeting between artists and the public, between different musical languages, between the landscape of the lake and the living energy of the city. Four evenings with great international protagonists and tributes to the masters who changed the history of jazz.
It starts on Wednesday 8 July with the visionary energy of Jowee Omicil, an unconventional multi-instrumentalist and performer capable of blending jazz, Afrobeat, gospel and hip-hop in a free and overwhelming sound flow. An unpredictable, intense, spiritual concert. Only Italian date.
Judith Hill arrives on Thursday 9 July, a magnetic and refined artist who has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince. His music crosses soul, funk, gospel and rock with extraordinary emotional strength, creating a powerful and engaging show.
Friday 10th July will feature an absolute legend: Billy Cobham. Master of jazz-fusion and innovator of modern drums, he celebrates his extraordinary career with TimeMachinea journey through the iconic songs of his electric season and new sonic explorations full of energy and creative freedom.
Grand finale on Saturday 11 July with Roberto Gatto bringing to the stage a contemporary homage to Miles Davis and John Coltrane which interweaves memory, improvisation and musical research in an intense dialogue between tradition and new visions of jazz.
The Lecco Jazz Festival also invades the city with the Concerti Diffusi, four free events scheduled at 6.30 pm, to experience jazz up close, crossing the city between emotions, sound research and new musical connections.
It starts on Wednesday 8 July (Auditorium Casa dell'Economia) with Francesco Bearzatti who offers an intense homage to John Coltrane on the centenary of his birth. A journey between jazz, words and spirituality capable of transforming the concert into an emotional and immersive experience.
On Thursday 9 July (at the Auditorium Casa dell'Economia) the Marco Detto Trio brings to the stage Suddenlyan elegant and engaging concert where original compositions, interplay and improvisational freedom give life to a modern and refined musical dialogue.
On Friday 10th July the Villa Gomes Park will light up with Pieces of a Woman by Cristina Russo & Neosoul Combo: an immersive live show between neo-soul, contemporary jazz, urban fusion and electronics, enriched by visuals and evocative atmospheres.
On Saturday 11 July (Auditorium Casa dell'Economia) the concerts will end with Antonio Zambrini Quartet and L'Attention, a poetic and intense homage to the music of Susanna Parigi, including jazz, songwriting and great interpretative sensitivity.
Alongside the main program, the Outside the Festivalcreated in collaboration with the “Tra Lago e Monti” and “Suoni Mobili” festivals, a parallel path of special events that expands the festival experience beyond the city center, building new connections between territories, artists and audiences.
The Fuori festival offers a musical journey between jazz, Brazilian music and contemporary influences. On Sunday 19 July, Roberto Porroni and CUARTET will bring the atmospheres of bossa nova and Brazilian jazz to Palazzo Belgiojoso (9.30pm), while on Tuesday 30 July (9.30pm) Trialogo will perform in the Church of Saints Gervaso and Protaso in a performance that combines Jewish and Arab traditions through improvisation and musical dialogue.
Thursday 2 August, at the Villa Gomes Park (11:00 am), Max Villavecchia will present “Between rock and water”, a project between music and painting inspired by the landscapes of the Mediterranean. In the evening (9.30pm), Giovanni Falzone will pay homage to Miles Davis with “Suite For Miles”, including jazz reinterpretations and original songs performed together with young musicians under 30.
The organization and artistic direction of the eleventh edition of the Lecco Jazz Festival are managed by the Teàrte Lecco Foundation with the collaboration of the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce.
