At the beginning of the year Neil Young had canceled all his live commitments (including two dates in Italy) with a message on his website: «I have decided to take a break and not play in Europe. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but this time I can't do it.”
Now, a few months after that announcement, Neil Young has reappeared on stage. The occasion was the celebration of the 90th birthday of Canadian environmental activist David Suzuki, which was held at the Queen Elizabeth Teather in Vancouver. The musician performed two songs, After the Gold Rush And Heart of Goldmarking his first live appearance since October 2025.
