1 billion in public spending and an increase of 21% compared to 2024. These are the data presented yesterday for the year 2025.
The study, conducted by AssoConcerti, was anticipated in the panel “The role of live music in the development of tourism and in the cultural, social and economic growth of the territories” as part of the Trento Festival of Economics organized by Il Sole 24 Ore, but will be presented in its entirety next October.
The SIAE confirmed that in 2025 there were over 40 thousand shows for a total of over 26 million spectators which equates to over a billion in spending.
«With a growth in 2025 of 42% compared to the previous year, our members continue to represent the heart of the system, covering almost 70% of the market», declared Bruno Sconocchia. «Live music guarantees capillarity and cultural diffusion throughout the national territory, from large cities to small towns, creating opportunities for aggregation, meeting and social participation».
The economic repercussions, according to research in collaboration with the University of Pisa, reach as much as 4.3 billion euros. Nationally, the estimate for 2025 exceeds 11 million room nights related to live music events.
