Wiz Khalifa was arrested in Romania on Saturday night for smoking weed during his show at the Beach Please! Festival.
The rapper lit up a joint in front of 80,000 people while a classic played in the background, The Next Episode by Dr. Dre. As soon as he got off the stage, however, the police approached him and arrested him. Recreational use of marijuana is illegal in Romania.

In a statement from the DIICOT (Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism Offences), the matter is clarified: «During a show held at a music festival in the Costinești resort, in the Constanta region, Khalifa was in possession of over 18 grams of cannabis and consumed (on stage) part of it in the form of a joint».
Wiz Khalifa was released after being questioned, and wrote in a Twitter post: “The concert the other night was insane. I had no intention of disrespecting Romania by lighting a joint on stage. The authorities were really understanding though and let me go. I'll be back soon, this time without a giant joint.”
