There is a new generation of Italian producers who don't arrive through hype or digital shortcuts. It comes after years of study, discipline and precise choices. Noya is one of the most interesting cases: born in 2003, solid academic training and a series of credits which, in a very short time, brought him to the center of the Italian music industry.
Mattia Villano, aka Noya, is a Campania producer originally from Roccapiemonte, in the province of Salerno. Raised between classical music and contemporary production, he represents one of the most structured and credible figures of the new Italian scene.
noya – From the province to the Conservatory, without shortcuts
Son of Ciro Villanoactor, director, producer and screenwriter, approached music in an early and natural way. At just three years old he began playing the piano, immediately showing a rare perfect pitch. At the same time he studies violin, keeping music as a constant thread throughout his career.
A growth that also passes through a clear choice: the Conservatory. Noya graduated at 21 in Electroacoustic Music Compositionbuilding an identity that brings together writing, sound research and productive vision. A balance that is clearly reflected in his way of working today.
The first collaborations and the entry into the scene of Italian producers
The first steps come from the Neapolitan scene, collaborating with Francesco Da Vinci, Cecchy And Hal Quartier. A fundamental step, which transforms the studio into a real laboratory and paves the way for increasingly relevant work.
The leap comes quickly: his name appears in the credits of LDA And Aka 7evenuntil signing a publishing contract with Thaurus and co-publishing with Junior K. A choice that places him firmly in one of the most influential creative networks on the Italian scene.
from Sanremo to kid yugi
The path will also take him to the most exposed stage of Italian music. Noya will participate in the next one Sanremo Festival as producer, making him the youngest in the history of the event after Michelangelo.
In fact, he signs the song Clandestine Poemscreated together with LDA and Aka 7even. A fact that goes beyond personal data curiosity: Sanremo remains one of the most complex testing grounds even for those who work behind the scenes.
A decisive step arrives with the album Even heroes die Of Kid Yugi. Noya curates four key tracks – Heroin, Amelia, Chuck Norris And What a fight for you – which immediately debuted at the top of the charts.
The album takes first place in the FIMI charts, certifying a result that tells its trajectory well: rapid growth, but never improvised.
Noya he is also involved in some tracks of the joint album by LDA And Aka 7even, Clandestine Poemsout on March 6. A project that consolidates an already established creative axis and confirms an increasingly central presence in the credits that count.
