Most certified authors of 2024.
2024 has just ended and, with the year, on 31 December the latest FIMI certifications were assigned to the best-selling albums and singles in Italy.
Starting from 2025, the thresholds for individuals will change drastically, effectively doubling the units needed to obtain the coveted recognition. READ our in-depth analysis HERE.
We remind you that, for the year just ended, FIMI applied the following criteria:
- GOLD RECORD: 50,000 certified units
- PLATINUM DISC: 100,000 certified units
- DIAMOND DISC: 1 million certified units
Alone Lazzaduring 2024, managed to reach the diamond, for the album Siriusreleased in 2022 and therefore does not enter this ranking which only takes singles into account. The latest single to reach diamond is Rome Bangkok Of Baby K And Giusy Ferreri in 2019 when it reached 500,000 certified units, basically 1/4 of those that will be needed for the same goal in 2025!
In the last year, two songs have reached diamond status, reaching 9th platinum status (900,000 certified copies):
- Ash Of Lazza at week 36
- You drive me crazy Of Blanco & Sfera Ebbasta at week 10
These songs will have to reach 2 million copies to obtain the diamond, instead of 1 million as was the case until 2024.

But let's go back to the authors… who are the ones who, in 2024, have obtained the greatest number of certifications?
To make this ranking we only considered 2024, i.e. if a song had achieved gold in 2020 (35 thousand units) and had platinum in 2024 (100,000 copies), we assigned it 65,000 certified units in 2024, i.e.:
100,000 in 2024 – 35,000 in 2020 = 65,000 certified units
We also remember that we consider AUTHORS exclusively those artists who do not appear among the performers, even if they do not actually sing. For example, JVLI in “Olly & JVLI – Devastating” is not included in the authors ranking, but in the singers ranking as his stage name is present in the original title of the song.
