THE White LesLondon's alternative rock trio known for their dark and powerful sound, they announced their return to the European stages with a new tour scheduled at the beginning of 2026. Formati in 2007, the band has conquered public and criticized since the debut with the album To lose my life …followed by a series of successful records including Ritual, Big TV, Friends, Five and the last AS I Try Not to Fall Apart of 2022.
Among the already confirmed dates, it stands out The only Italian stage: an exclusive opportunity to review one of the most influential British bands of the last few years, absolute protagonists of the European Indie Rock scene.
To accompany the announcement, the release of the new single 'Nothing on me'the first unpublished song after three years of record silence. A taste of what will be the new musical course of the White Lies, currently engaged in the processing of the next album.
Recorded to The Church Studios of London, produced by Riley Macintyre (Ezra Collective, Arlo Parks) and mixed by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House), the song represents a bold turn for the White Lies.
“This song welcomes you in the collaborative and present mind of the White Lies. It is partly reckless, out of control, full of ideas in competition with each other. There is a total disinterest in external influences, pressure or expectations. We are driving without brakes or safety belts. Lyric and conceptual level, it is a rebirth, an introduction.”
“The initial musical ideas are born from a sequence of synths in different metrics compared to the rest of the band, inspired by the 70s prog that I listened to a lot in this period. Genesis, Chris Squier, Yes, Utopia, Gong … The rhythm instead is a classic Beat Motorik from the Krautrock that we have always loved. The melody of the guitar is almost childish, surreal – Steve Hillage.
'Nothing on me'published on Play it again sammarks the band's record return and offers a tasting of the new material coming.
