Milan, 6 February 2026 – After three years of recording silence and a wait that seemed infinite, i White Lies they set the Italian indie/post-punk scene on fire with an evening of their own General Warehouses of Milan. A unique date in Italy characterized by an intense atmosphere, a powerful lineup and a warm audience that has transformed the Milanese club into a sanctuary for old and new fans.
Atmosphere and public response
The evening began with a palpable energy: the place was already there sold outconfirming the strong bond between the British band and the Italian public. A heterogeneous audience, ready to sing every riff and chorus at the top of their lungs, welcomed the band with enthusiasm from the first chords.
The proposed setlist is very similar to that of the European tour dates, with a mix of great classics and more recent songs that tell the story of the trio's sonic evolution. Among the highlights of the evening:
- “All The Best” And “Farewell To The Fairground”powerful openings that immediately established the emotional tone of the evening;
- intense songs like “My Lover”, “Keep Up” And “Juice”which blend electronic synthesizers and sharp guitars in an alternation of sound dynamics;
- the iconic “To Lose My Life”sung in unison by an audience immersed in the atmospheric darkness of its post-punk sounds;
- recent pieces like “Night Light”which show the more mature and introspective side of the band.
The pace never dropped: between cinematic sounds and emotional tension, each song contributed to a crescendo that completely involved the audience.
An ever brighter future
This Milanese stop is not only a celebration of the past, but also an opportunity to look forward: the band supported the release of the new single “Nothing On Me”marking the return to more energetic and experimental sounds after years of waiting.
The enthusiasm is such that, after the sold out in Milan, White Lies announced a new summer date in Italyscheduled for July, confirming their constant rise in the European rock scene.
Overall, the concert at Magazzini Generali proved to be an intense and satisfying experience for those who love dark post-punk and melancholy rock. White Lies brought a solid performance to the stage, capable of balancing nostalgia and innovation, confirming their status as an essential band for fans of alternative music.
