After a period of apparent calm, the world of Italian rap is heating up again with a new beef. This time it was Rondodasosa who lit the fuse who yesterday, through some stories on Instagram, started picking on Simba La Rue first and then Baby Gang.
Yesterday evening Rondo posted stories first from Merone, Simba's town, tagging him and then from Lecco, the city of Baby Gang. Rondo then published a long message against Simba La Rue, accusing him of a (failed) ambush and inviting him to a “1v1 match in the ring”: “Simba, your bullying doesn't scare anyone. You're an internet gangster, 53 stab wounds weren't enough for you to stop acting like a fool around people. I remember when I was pushing the wheelchair for you and you were pissing through a catheter. You try to ambush me with 5 people while I'm alone with my woman and you can't even do it. And you are so little of a man that you have the courage to offend my mother in DMs because you don't know what to attack me about.” Rondo continues: «Every person who argues with you ends up doing years in prison and after 6 months you are already out crying at the Hyenas, who knows why. If you have the balls as you say, accept 1vs1 in a ring in front of all of Italy against me, money up for grabs. You weigh three times as much, shouldn't you have any problems or are you afraid of making a fool of yourself?”.
Simba's response, again on Instagram, was not long in coming: “Your mother has forgotten you too, so it's time to hype, right?”. Followed by a series of videos and teasing photos (taken from a Facetime call between the two) followed by the phrases «Have you always had my fish on your mind and are you talking? Half a man.” Baby Gang instead moved on to threats, doing a live broadcast from his neighborhood and inviting his rival to fight: «Rondo, do a live broadcast and come to the area, whore. Your story is from 10 minutes ago, you're still in the area, we'll be waiting for you here: head to head.”
Just as the situation was getting quite heated, Rondo took the opportunity to make a promo that made colleagues and the public suspicious. First he tagged Shiva talking about a “joint album” (the two had a long beef in the past), then he announced his new album Matthias coming out in January. Baby Gang's response: «Let's help this boy make a splash in America who no longer has credibility in Italy. Here brother, just say it and we'll tell you the story. There was no need to do all this brothel.”
The question is therefore: real beef or pure promotion?
