From 10 to 17 November Turin will return to being the capital of world tennis. Furthermore, for this edition of the Nitto ATP Finals, the enthusiasm will be even greater: it will in fact be the first time they will be held in the city with an Italian leader in the world rankings.
While the wait to see Jannik Sinner increases day by day, Italian music also wanted to take the field to celebrate Turin. And from this idea that was born Play TO Tennisa video project created by the communication agency Mate on behalf of Visit Piemonte and the City of Turin, in which music becomes the leitmotif to describe the city.
Four months of filming among the key locations of the city – from the Murazzi to Parco del Valentino, from Porta Palazzo to the Docks Dora, from the center to San Salvario – starring some well-known faces of Italian and international music such as Jeremiah Fraites of the Lumineers, Silvia Massarelli, first conductor to win the prestigious Grand Prix de conducting orchestras, the Turin-born Willie Peyote, Eugenio in Via di Gioia, Shade, Epoque, but also Alex Britti and Nikki and, without fail, Max Casacci, co-founder of Subsonica and composer of the song that serves as the soundtrack to the titled project 100% tennis: ATP Finals but the bass. The objective: to tell Turin through themes such as diversity, integration, international vocation.
The result is Play TO Tennisa video that has been available on YouTube since yesterday. Relatedly, there is also a Spotify playlist (you can listen to it here) with the songs of the artists involved and other songs about Turin.
