Linkin Park (in the new lineup with Emily Armstrong) played their new single live for the first time, Heavy Is The Crown. It happened during their concert in Hamburg last night, September 22nd. It could be a new excerpt from their upcoming album, From Zeroout November 15th.
The song, which will be officially released tomorrow, is the second unreleased song presented by the group in seven years, after The Emptiness Machine. Riot Games has announced that Heavy Is The Crown will be the official anthem of the World Role-Playing Championship League of Legends.
“This song is the culmination of a new era for us, harnessing our signature sound and re-energizing it,” said Mike Shinoda about the single. The lyrics to the chorus read: “This is what you asked for, heavy is the crown / Fire in the sunrise, ashes rainin' down / Tryna hold it in but it keeps bleedin' out / This is what you asked for, heavy is the / Heavy is the crown.”
