Believe it or not, in 2026 Roby Facchinetti, Red Canzian, Riccardo Fogli And Dodi Battaglia will celebrate 60 years (!) since the birth of Poohthe longest-running Italian group in the history of music, which in all this time has been able to sell over 80 million copies, numbers that are unthinkable today and which tell of an affection that is nothing short of extraordinary on the part of fans.
But what do they have in store for us? Pooh for this very important anniversary? All Music Italia had the privilege of asking those directly involved: here's what they told us about it.
The friendship that has bound Pooh for 60 years
It all started in 1966, when the members were still kids and perhaps they would have hardly imagined that their artistic journey would lead them, quoting one of their most famous songs, to be “friends forever”. The emotional bond was precisely the key to the longevity of the band, a relationship that despite the difficulties (such as the abandonment of Riccardo Fogli in 1973) has not been affected by the passage of time. By the way, the band told us: “THE Pooh I'm a small miracle, because we weren't friends at the beginning, we became friends by hanging out. Every time we happened to argue we felt bad about what happened, also because we have a lot of respect for people. It's not easy to find 4 guys who have lived together and lived the same dream for 60 years. And let's not forget that our children grew up together. On the other hand, Francesco Facchinetti And Daniele Battaglia they were the main supporters of our restart in 2023, even if we had thought about stopping”.
The new 60th anniversary tour coming soon and previews of the setlist
So how can we celebrate such an extraordinary relationship and such an exceptional achievement? The band was pleased to announce Our historyan unmissable concert tour set for 2026 in the arenas. The “POOH 60 – Our history” tour will kick off with two inaugural dates, on 25 and 26 September in Bergamo, at the ChorusLife Arena, which will host date zero. Subsequently, the band will stop in Florence, where they will perform on 2 and 3 October at the Nelson Mandela Forum. The tour will then continue in Turin, with concerts on 10 and 11 October at the Inalpi Arena, to then arrive in the capital: in Rome, Pooh will perform on 15 and 16 October at Palazzo Dello Sport.
The musical journey will continue in Milan with two evenings, 18 and 19 October, at the Unipol Forum. The band will then move to Eboli (SA), where the group will be featured on 27 and 28 October at Palasele. The tour will finally end in Bari, with the last two stops scheduled for 30 and 31 October at the Palaflorio.
Be careful because the double date in each hall will correspond to a show with a different lineup! To be clear, those who participate in the first stage at the Assago Forum will listen to a distinct setlist compared to the second Milanese event. The group also anticipated approximately 40 pieces at each show, for a total duration of approximately three hours. Finally, we know that it will not be a concert with a strictly chronological concept.
Will Pooh ever release new unreleased songs?
During our chat we couldn't help but remember the group's historic lyricist, Valerio Negriniand the drummer Stephen of Horacewho passed away in 2013 and 2020 respectively. Speaking about their former adventure companions and the possibility of releasing other songs without them, the band commented: “It is difficult for us to imagine the lives of Pooh without Valerio and without Stephen. AND something that hardly fits into our way of making music. We have not yet thought about what life could have been without these two substantial components.”
