After years of waiting, Tunde Adebimpe – voice and creative mind of TV on the radio – is ready to make his debut alone with “Three Black Boltz”, released on April 18 on Sub Pop. A project cultivated for a long time, whose title recalls Black Bolt, the sovereign of the inhumans Marvel, capable of destroying entire cities with a single sound.
An idea of latent and cathartic power that Adbimpe himself explained as follows:
“The sparks of inspiration, motivation and hope that emerge in the heart of pain, depression and despair. As electrons that accumulate in the storm clouds until they generate a flash, illuminating the way out for a moment … Furthermore, it sounds like a great name for a metal band, and I think many would see me well in a metal band. “
Parallel to the musical career, the New York artist also made himself known on the screen, participating in the Blockbuster Twisters and the “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” series.
After Magnetic, the first single unveiled months ago, Drop arrives, further taste of an album that promises to explore new sound trajectories.
