From Friday 30 August 2024 it will be on radio rotation “9 MONTHS” (Karma Conspiracy / Overdub Recordings), the first single from TOWER OF THE MUDA already available on digital platforms since August 26th.
The song “9Mesi” tells the emotional journey of birth, an event linked only to beautiful emotions. However, the sensations experienced by the creature slowly developing inside the mother's womb are anything but linear.
In composing this song, the band tried to describe these feelings not only through the lyrics, but also with an alternation of sounds. “closed” And “open”. Birth symbolizes liberation from physical and mental confines and the search for a new life.
9 MONTHS
The band explains about the song: “Taking inspiration from the birth of the child of one of the band members, the idea of musically representing the sensations that a child experiences during the months of pregnancy was born”.
In the music video for “9Mesi” two protagonists alternate: the band and the dancers. The band plays inside a cage, symbolizing the “hero” trapped in the song. In some scenes, the entire group is present in the cage, while in others only one member appears. In stark contrast, the dancers perform a choreography behind a canvas representing the mother's womb. The color red dominates these scenes, creating an environment in which the dancers' silhouettes move in harmony with the music. The video ends with a light that invades the scene, symbolizing birth and liberation.
TOWER OF THE MUDA
THE Tower of the Muda were born in 2021 from an idea of 4 friends, Marco, Dario, Fabrizio and Alessio, always linked by their passion for music. The group was born from the influences of important groups of the past, experimenting with a unique compositional path in the context of Italian prog rock.
They manage to shape a distinctive sound, giving life to their first album “Eternal Moment”, where rock roots intertwine with various shades and colors of prog.
The album focuses on exploring the complexity and variety of human experience, inviting the listener to reflect on their own existence and connection with the world around us. In 2024 they signed their first record deal with the label Karma Conspiracy.
