Available on all major streaming and download platforms from Friday 6 December, Aperitif is the new EP by Peter Whitewho returns with a totally different album compared to his latest recording projects.
In fact, in Aperitif the singer-songwriter approaches the sounds that made him fall in love with music, namely those of the great Italian singer-songwriters: from Gino Paoli to Fabrizio De Andrèpassing through Francesco De Gregori, Giorgio Gaber And Franco Battiato.
“I often say, half jokingly, that I was born in the wrong decade, even though at the same time I am proudly a child of my time. Here's why Aperitif it is the perfect meeting point of this splendid oxymoron”he explained Peter White about the EP.
Then, he added: “My songs would like to reflect this fusion of eras, recalling the songs that my parents and grandparents made me listen to, such as Talk to me about love Mariù, Don't blush And Endless“.
In short, “that kind of music that brings to mind the image of a little boat swaying placidly in the middle of a summer, above a sparkling sea, with two glasses of wine. All obviously pervaded by the magic of black and white and a certain elegance in dressing“.
