THOMAS, “MORTAL LEAP”: MEANING OF THE SONG
Written by Berna, Enrico Palmosi, Marco Rettano and Thomas himself and produced by Enrico Palmosi, Salto Mortale tells the feeling of love in all its nuances and ambiguities.
On the single, Thomas tells: «Somersault it's about love which, to quote Tencocan be defined as the greatest force and, in its contradictions, the most human; a somersault that begins without having an end.”
And instead, he explains to us about the project: «This song also represents the second side, the B side of my new musical project which reveals its dark, introspective and emotional soul so different from that represented by the single See How It's Done. I decided to anticipate the new album with the two songs that represent truly distinct chapters, two opposite songs in a “digital single”.
THOMAS, “MORTAL LEAP”: LYRICS OF THE SONG
Tell me what I don't think
Because no one is perfect
Give me a minute
To show you with an open heart that
I gave you everything and I lost
It will count a little out of context
That after a crime scene
I would have also dedicated a slow one to you
And if I change my mind
You change me
Tell me this isn't normal
That I can't heal
If our somersault
It begins without an end
Because I can't imagine
When you stopped understanding
You tell me, tell me
If there is a better part of you
I know I looked like an angel in hell
And you painted me as crazy
Crazy about you, but what, it doesn't work
If you give me an hour of air in my throat
Now that I've lost myself
Inside your sea of troubles
Sand on the desert bed
I forgot who you are
When I don't change my mind
You change me
Tell me this isn't normal
That I can't heal
If our somersault
It begins without an end
Because I can't imagine
When you stopped understanding
You tell me, tell me
If there is a better part of you
Better than you
Now that I've chosen myself in the mirror
Now you tell me that's not normal
That I can't heal
If our somersault
It begins without an end
Because I can't imagine
When you stopped understanding
You tell me, tell me
If there is a better part of you
