There is a “new” song performed by Axl Rose. New in quotes because it is a version of Love to Love of UFO. The singer does not perform it with Guns N' Roses, but as a guest of the group's former guitarist Michael Schenker.
The Axl version of Love to Love It is included in the album released on Friday My Years with Ufo: 50th Anniversary Celebrationa celebration of the guitarist's career within the band in the mid-70s.
Rose is not the only guest on the album. Among others, there are Slash and Erik Grönwall (in Mother Mary), Dee Snider and Joel Hoekstra (Natural Thing), Joey Tempest of Europe and Roger Glover of Deep Purple (Only You Can Rock Me), Joe Lynn Turner (appears in Doctor Doctor And Too Hot to Handle).
Other guests include Kai Hansen, Biff Byford, Jeff Scott Soto, John Norum, Carmine Appice, Adrian Vandenberg, Michael Voss, Stephen Pearcy. The band features Derek Sherinian (keyboards), Brian Tichy (drums), Barry Sparks (bass).
