Just in time for Valentine's Day, the rock trio of sisters from Monterrey, Mexico, The Warningjoins the award-winning Mexican superstar Carín León for the new single “Love To Be Loved“, available digitally and on radio from Friday 6 February, accompanied by the music video. The song marks the first collaboration sung entirely in English between the band and Carín Leónfresh winner at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
“We are really excited about this song. As a rock band, for us it's something completely different and an opportunity to explore new sounds“, they say The Warning. “Originally written with Teddy Swims, the song naturally blends country, rock and pop in a way that felt fresh and inspiring from the start. Mixing different musical worlds is always exciting, and working with our fellow Mexican artist Carín León it made the experience even more special. It's a collaboration that has stimulated us creatively and shows a new side of The Warning“.
“Love To Be Loved” breaks down gender walls, finding common ground between these two distinct forces. Carín sets the tone for the song, delivering an emotionally charged verse. His heartbreaking rendition sits between the clamor of distorted power chords and the dense rhythm of The Warning. Strengthened by a heavy riff and a rhythm worthy of the Richter Scale, singer and guitarist Dany Villarreal sings the chorus: “I just need love to be loved, to be loved, to be loved by you“.
On collaboration, Carín states: “I am truly happy and excited for this collaboration with these extraordinary artists, a band that I deeply admire and that confirms to me that Mexican music and rock are far from dead: they are more present and stronger than ever. I'm also very grateful to collaborate with artists with such important projects for Mexican music and culture and to be able to release this amazing song together. I really hope that people will feel attracted to it, appreciate it and carry it in their hearts for a long time“.
The official video clip that accompanies the song shows Carín and the The Warning holed up in a seedy bar. Between card games, slot machines, pool and darts, they continue to win… but none of that matters. Beneath the bravado, all they're really looking for is love. In the end, they go on stage and perform a once-in-a-lifetime karaoke duet for the crowd gathered on the dance floor of the seedy venue.
