The treatments will publish 'Mixes of a Lost World' in June

Yesterday, on the day of Robert Smith's 66th birthday, the care announced the release of Mixes of a Lost World. As the title suggests, it is a remix album of the songs of the band's latest album Songs of a Lost World.

It will be released on June 13 and contains 24 remixes, from Four Tet to Paul Oikenfold passing through Orbital, Daniel Avery, Mura Masa, Trentemøller, Chino Moreno, Mogwai, Twilight Sad, 65Daysofstatic. The proceeds will go to War Child Uk, the organization that deals with protecting children's rights in war zones.

The project was born after Christmas, Smith said, when he received “a pair of remix that I hadn't asked” and who liked him. The first two extracts are Alone (Four Tet Remix) And I Can Never Say Goodbye (Paul Oakenfold “Cinematic” Remix).

The treatments, Smith said, have a long -lasting relationship with dance music. «I wanted to hear how the album reinterpreted by others played. This curiosity has translated into a fabulous journey through the eight songs by 24 wonderful artists and remixers, the result goes beyond all expectations ».

In the autumn, Smith had said that the treatments would return on the road in 2025 and had spoken of three albums of the band in progress, one of which is substantially finished.
