The iconic GRAMMY®-winning rock band The Smashing Pumpkins will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the debut album, Gish, with two vinyl versions, available from May 29, 2026:
- 180 gram gray vinyl, with pink and purple splatter, inside the original 1991 packaging, limited edition;
- Standard 180 gram black vinyl, in original 1991 packaging.
The Smashing Pumpkins they recorded Gish with the manufacturer Butch Vig at them Smart Studios in Madison. Rock, metal, psychedelia, pop and shoegaze expertly blended, like never before, within an incredible album. Published May 28, 1991, Gish made history, becoming one of the most successful records of the time. The album, composed of 10 tracks, reached Platinum status thanks also to songs such as “I Am One“, “Siva”, “Rhinoceros”.
The influence of an album like Gish it continues to grow from one generation to the next. In a 2016 review Billboard, perfectly describing the evolution of the sound of Smashing Pumpkinsunderlined the presence of “cryptic poetry, sudden dynamic shifts, imposing riffs and moments of surprising beauty”, everything that fans around the world would have loved about the Pumpkins.

As well as the upcoming vinyl release for the 35th anniversary of GishCorgan recently collaborated with YUNGBLUD on a reinterpretation of his song “Zombie” causing him Smashing Pumpkins appeared for the first time in another artist's recording. Corgan's intergenerational influence also extends to his podcast, The Magnificent Others, which celebrated its one-year anniversary this February and boasts conversations with YUNGBLUD, Gene Simmons, Sharon Osbourne, Tom Morello and more.
