“Terms for a surrender” represents the official debut of the Sicilian formation, which in reality already boasts two albums to the assets, made as Nadiè, a name with which he had started working on a third album, under the artistic direction of the producer Toni Carbone (already with Denovo, Luca Madonia and Mario Venuti) before the sudden disappearance that survived in 2023.
The work was then completed with the contribution of the producer Roberto Vernetti (Ustmamò, Delta V, Casino Royale and many others).
After loss – human and professional – of tones coal, the Nadié have decided to change their name, to change identity. Thus was born the ruling class, with in line up Giovanni Scuderi, Alfio Musumeci (drums), Gianpiero Leone (bass) and Francesco Gueli (guitars).
Biographical notes.
The ruling class is a rock band of Catania born in 2024 from the ashes of the Nadiè, an active formation since 2005. The formation has remained unchanged.
In the sound mix of the Nadié the classicism of the early 90s merges to the lyrics of the author, creating a mixture of genres that ranges from Battiato to Wilco, from Fossati to Elbow, from Benvegnù to Mercury Rev, also including unequivocally post-rock sounds.
In 2011 the first album, self -produced, was released, Fimato dei Nadiè, “This day next year”. A tenuous, introspective disc. In 2017 the second album (always on behalf of Nadiè), “High water in Venice” was released. This time it is about angry work, with desecrating tones.
In 2025 the debut on behalf of the ruling class, “terms for a surrender” (Vrec/Believe), made in collaboration with the manufacturers Toni Carbone and Roberto Vernetti, was released.
