Ten years after his last solo work, Bruno Mars will release his fourth solo album, “The Romantic”, on February 27th for Atlantic Records. A limited edition numbered vinyl is available for pre-order while supplies last. The announcement anticipates the release of a new single from the album, scheduled for Friday 9 January. But that's not all: Bruno Mars will return to Italy in summer 2026 with a concert scheduled for July 14th at the San Siro Stadium in Milan. The announcement marks the first Italian date after almost ten years: the last visit to our country dates back to the 24K Magic World Tour, when Mars played in Bologna and Milan in June 2017.
The project arrives after a phase of strong presence in the global charts. Recent songs include “Die With A Smile,” featuring Lady Gaga, a Grammy Award winner and the first to reach one billion streams on Spotify, and “APT.”, featuring ROSÉ, listed by Apple Music as the most streamed song globally in 2025. “APT.” it also led the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US for several weeks and received recognition at the MTV Video Music Awards.
In 2025, Mars became the first artist to surpass 150 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He had previously already become the first artist to have six singles certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America; as of 2026, the Diamond certifications have risen to at least seven, including “Just The Way You Are”, “Uptown Funk”, “Grenade”, “That's What I Like”, “When I Was Your Man”, “Locked Out Of Heaven” and “The Lazy Song”. “Just The Way You Are” has achieved 21 RIAA Platinum certifications. The debut album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” is the longest-running studio album by a male soloist on the Billboard 200, spanning over 345 weeks.
Overall, Mars achieved nine number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and logged 30 weeks atop the Global 200 between 2024 and 2025.
