Omar Pedrini after the long farewell tour to rock, with which he celebrated thirty years of career on stages throughout Italy, he returns with When we are happy let's pay attention. An unprecedented project, a song theater show, inspired by the work of Kurt Vonnegut.
Emilio Russo as director and Simone Zoni they accompany on the guitar Omar Pedrini in the double role of narrator and musician.
In When we are happy let's pay attention the songs of the singer-songwriter from Brescia are intertwined with those of other similar authors, and from their fusion a sincere and authentic experience is born, in which echoes of poetry, art and profound reflections, tracing a hymn to a more human and aware life.
When we are happy let's pay attention
The show was born from a phrase by Vonnegut When you are happy, pay attention to itan invitation to stop, to capture the essence of moments of happiness.
From here Omar Pedrini takes inspiration for the creation of the song theater project in which he combines words and thoughts of artists and thinkers who, like him, felt the need to rethink happiness, time and the meaning of existence.
Every word and every note becomes an invitation to pay attentionto cherish time and rediscover the value of what we have, to experience authentic happiness, which is not lost in the noise of an increasingly distant world.
“After a 40-date tour, which started in Milan and ended in style with the live show at the Factory in Verona and the great comic rock party in the splendid setting of Lucca Comics & Games, I now feel the need to say goodbye to my theater audience and I will do it with this handful of dates, to hug each other again and look into each other's eyes”
