In case you don't know him, know that Lacrim is an extremely famous rapper in France, he has a ten-year career and a controversial history behind him. He has already flirted with the Italian scene, but now with Cipriani aims more decisively at our market with an album containing feats by Baby Gang (here it is Rock), Simba La Rue (100 kilos), Guè, Emma, Lazza, Luchè, Noyz Narcos, Niky Savage, Nerissima Serpe, Papa V.
The Fall Off
J Cole
February 6

Seventh and reportedly final studio album by J Cole, who explained: «For the past ten years, this album has been handcrafted with one goal: to challenge myself to create my best work. Do in my last job what I couldn't do in my first. I had no way of knowing how much time, focus, and energy I would need to achieve this goal, but despite the countless challenges along the way, I knew in my heart that one day I would get there. I owed it first and foremost to myself. And secondly, I owed it to hip hop.”

It took more than 30 years for Danno to decide to make his first solo album. Not that he ever liked releasing albums, given the risks involved release on behalf of Colle Der Fomento and Artificial Kid. At 50, however, the time has come. And it's still hardcore, just hardcore, with Rome in the background.
Chameleon
White
February 6

It was produced in a week in a country house with Roberto Angelini and Andrea “Fish” Pesce and is presented as a journey into change. «The chameleon is the perfect image of all this», said Bianco, «an animal that sheds its skin but always remains itself. A fragile and mimetic being, who observes the world with two independent eyes, capable of looking simultaneously at the past and the future. Maybe that's exactly what I try to do too, every time I write a song.” It is a publication by Garrincha 373 which, after the passing of Matteo Romagnoli, continues the legacy of Garrincha Dischi.
Wuthering Heights
Charli XCX
February 13

After Brat Summer, will there be Wuthering Heights Spring? Hard to believe, given that what has been released so far of Emerald Fennell's film soundtrack is anything but pop. But, in any case, you always have to keep an eye on Charli, after all, it's still hers Moment.
Cerulean
Danny L Harle
February 13

After co-producing Radical Optimism by Dua Lipa, the champion of modern electronics returns with his second album (but he has already said that, for him, it counts as a debut). Sounds that mix the future and the 90s in full Huge Danny style, with an army of features from best friends such as Caroline Polachek, Clairo, Oklou, PinkPantheress and Dua Lipa herself.
Nethering
Stetson Fox & Dunn
February 13

It's not a record for everyone. They are the saxophonist and destroyer of certainties Colin Stetson, the drummer Greg Fox and the bassist Trevor Dunn, see Mr. Bungle, John Zorn, Fantômas, Melvins. The album was recorded in 2018 and is billed as the first in a series of Stetson collaborations between minimal free jazz and improvisation. The title track gives the idea.
Prizefighter
Mumford & Sons
February 20

“Plastic cups, neon signs, I still live on the edge”… The title track is already out, as is Rubber Band Man with Hozier e The Banjo Song. They consider it (but is it?) the best thing they've done and say it's a sort of return to the first album, for the way they made it. Also inside are Chris Stapleton, Gracie Abrams and Gigi Perez, with Aaron Dessner producing. In concert at Rock in Roma on 7 July.
A Hum of Maybe
Equipment
February 20

Sixth solo album for Sascha Ring aka Apparat, the Berlin-based producer and DJ. Starting from the title, he explains it like this: «Maybe it's not weakness, but a space where things can grow. Hum it is that undercurrent of potential, the in-between, where life actually happens.”
Future Quiet
Moby
February 20

«Future Quiet it is not surprisingly… quiet. I love pomp, excess, volume, but with the world becoming louder and crazier I feel the need to take refuge in tranquility, both as a listener and as a musician. For me, and I hope for others too, Future Quiet it's a refuge.” Contains a rereading of When It's Cold I'd Like to Die with Jacob Lusk (Gabriels) whose original 1995 version is included in Stranger Things.
Epic: Elvis Presley in Concert
Elvis Presley
February 20

Garip
Altin Gün
February 20

«It's our most eclectic album», says Jasper Verhulst, bassist of the band who reinterprets the Turkish tradition in a psychedelic and funk key. The album contains ten pieces from the repertoire of Turkish folk singer Neşet Ertaş (1938–2012). «There's a bit of everything, the pieces are more difficult to label. We wanted to do something different than what we've done in the past. Less aggressive, less pop, less obviously psych-rock. More simply vibrant.” An appetizer: Neredesin Sen.
Road foundation
Inoki & Vacca
February 20

Maybe you've seen them together commenting on today's rap and trap on a channel of a well-known Italian rap magazine. Inoki and Vacca, after all, have been in the scene for practically always. It will be strange to hear them side by side given that in all these years there have been very few occasions. What is there to expect?
TheMountain
Gorillaz
February 27

Five languages, the presence of six missing musicians and actors (from Dennis Hooper to Tony Allen), all held together by the usual incredible flair of Damon Albarn. Each song has a featuring and there is something for all tastes: from Idles and Bizarrap, from Johnny Marr to the Argentine rapper Trueno, from the Syrian Omar Souleyman to Paul Simonon of the Clash, former live member of Gorillaz themselves. A lot of stuff, in every sense.
Deadline
Blackpink
February 27

A 5-track EP anticipated (yes, in Korea the strategies are quite different) from a tour that started last July and so far ended last week in Hong Kong. It is the third EP in Korean, and the first single, Jumpwas co-produced by Diplo and is racking up – as always – huge numbers. The Hallyu has no brakes; Blackpink in the area, again.
Hen's Teeth
Iron and Wine
February 27

Eighth album for Sam Beam aka Iron & Wine. An album about the impossible, according to the musician's words: «For me the title suggests the impossible. Chicken teeth don't exist. And that's how this album seemed to me: a gift that shouldn't be there, but instead it is. Something impossible, but real.” Well, then let's enjoy this gift.
My Days of 58
Bill Callahan
February 27

Eighth studio album, the first since 2022 for the American songwriter. Accompanying him is the same band from those days. On the album he said: «Improvisation, unpredictability, the unknown are the things that push me to continue making music. It's about listening to yourself and others. Many of the best parts of a recording are the mistakes: turning them into strengths, using them as stepping stones to something human.” At 58 (oops, now 59), he doesn't seem so intent on quitting.
Nothing's About to Happen to Me
Mitski
February 27

The Romantic
Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars' last album dates back to 2016. In the meantime he has done a lot of things, from the album with Anderson .Paak under the name Silk Sonic to enormously successful collaborations such as Die with a Smile with Lady Gaga and Apt with Rosé, and has established himself as one of the most listened to artists in the world (on Spotify he is the most listened to ever, more than The Weeknd, Taylor Swift and Rihanna). From The Romantic For now we don't know much, a few names of collaborators have been circulated including the omnipresent Andrew Watt. The first single was heard I Just Might. On 14 and 15 July he will be at the San Siro Stadium.
Side-Eye III+
Pat Metheny
February 27

It is the last chapter of the Side-Eye project with which the guitarist intends to enhance the new generations of musicians. He is joined by Chris Fishman on keyboards and Joe Dyson on drums with whom he plays live. «Once I got into the studio with them I realized that, although the trio concept was perfect live, the music I had written required a larger ensemble. And this is where the “+” in the title comes into play Side-Eye III+. I ended up adding 15 more musicians to the trio, expanding the sonic world of the record far beyond what we'd done before.” In concert in Italy in the first ten days of July.
