After a year spent among crowded stages, sound research and new artistic trajectories, Nico Arezzo is back with a chapter that marks a further step in his evolution: the new single SANCUpublished on November 28 for Take Away Studios / Artist First.
A visceral, instinctive song, which also brings with it the announcement of Damn What Tour 2026the new tour that will cross Italy from March.
Born in 1998, Nico Arezzo he built his own path with a total approach to music: cable collector, lighting technician, sound engineer, drummer, songwriter, producer and arranger. An education that is reflected in the craftsmanship of his productions.
In 2017 he wins FestivalShow at the Arena di Verona and is among the top five Under X Factor. In 2019 it arrives at Sanremo Youthwhile in 2024 he is among the winners of Musiculture and opens three dates of the world tour of Laura Pausini. In 2025 he receives the Bindi New Generation Award and takes his first album throughout Italy There is no sea with two completely independent tours.
“SANCU”: between instinct, body and ancestral visions
After the good response to the album There is no sea and the 50 dates of There is no tour, Nico Arezzo continues his journey towards increasingly personal writing. SANCU it arises from the primordial conflict between attraction and defense, between desire and fear, between what brings us closer and what makes us tremble. Blood becomes a metaphor for life, vulnerability, mutual recognition.
The production blends Sicilian references with oriental sounds, ancestral percussion and electronics that sculpt a suspended emotional landscape: a sound ritual where languages intertwine and create a new, sensual and magnetic geography. A song that not only tells, but envelops.
“Sancu is blood, in all its forms, but it tells of one in particular. Her. She is a breathing animal, a dirge that no one can really listen to and which leaves a new flavour, which you recognize immediately”says the artist.
The “Minchia Che Tour 2026”
After a 2025 which also saw him as the protagonist as the opening act for the theatrical dates of Carmen Consoli (Teatro Regio of Parma, Politeama of Palermo and Metropolitan of Catania), Nico Arezzo returns to the stage with a tour that promises intimacy, energy and direct contact with the audience. The tour, produced by OTR Livewill start in March.
