Is titled Viper venom the new single by Wayne Santanatoday simply Wayneout Friday June 16 for Warner Music Italy. The piece, with a strong 80s sound, represents a second piece of the new artistic puzzle of the young artist born in 1991, who after the long parenthesis with the Dark Polo Gang (never really “infamous”, but more on that later) he started taking his first steps alone.
What Wayne’s Viper Venom is all about
The song has been described by the artist himself as a banger. The song speaks of his inner torments “like a last mad rush, naturally accompanied by the straight case”. In the piece the singer says he wants to run away from temptations and instead he finds himself chasing them again this time, which he swears will be the last. Impossible to understand who, or what, knocks on his door at night: however, it is precisely this ambiguity that makes immersion in the piece even more interesting.
Arrived on the heels of SDZ2 mixtapes and of Dirty Love, Viper venom thus continues a path already traced, that of a gradual but inexorable approach towards an electronics splashed with synths in pure 80s style. In short, the trap seems to be just a simple memory, although the rapper has no intention of denying his fortunate origins. Music is evolution, on the other hand, and it’s something he himself told us during our chat.
The video interview with Wayne
The editorial staff of All Music Italia met the artist via Zoom a few days after the release of his new piece. Together with him we thus had the opportunity to deepen the meaning of the lyrics of the song, but also the future prospects of Wayne solo and his relationship with marketing and the media in general (today there is TikTok, who knows tomorrow?). Waynehe also told us what kind of relationship he has with his colleagues today Dark Polo Gangwhich is not dead and will never die. Below is our video interview with the artist.
