It's called “Hide Me” the new song by The Lizardsa track that explores the end of a relationship marked by strong emotional intensity. The piece moves between images of apparent calm and internal conflict, recounting the moment in which a bond is broken and, at the same time, leaves room for a new awareness.
The text addresses themes such as disillusionment, loneliness and the difficult process of acceptance that accompanies every profound detachment. At the center of the song is personal growth: the ability to recognize what makes you suffer, find the strength to let it go and rediscover a more authentic form of freedom.
“Hide Me” stands out for a direct and sincere language, which transforms vulnerability into awareness. A linear but intense emotional story, in which The Lizards confirm their aptitude for translating personal experiences into musical narratives with a universal scope.
The Lizards are a Milanese rock band born in 2004, immediately engaged in the creation of unreleased songs.
In 2011 they transformed into an international Cranberries tribute band, a project that allowed them to accumulate vast live experience on prestigious stages, both in Italy and abroad.
At the same time, they continue to compose and promote their original music, mainly using the web and social media to reach an ever-wider audience.
The band participates in numerous music competitions, including Emergenza Rock, Sound Wave and 3DM, winning second place at the Malgrate Festival in 2007 and reaching the regional selections of Sanremo Rock in 2023.
In 2024, the record label Sorry Mom! he notices them and offers them a collaboration, which gives rise to the first official single under the label, “Full of Dreams Suitcase”, released on June 6, 2024, followed by “Rainbow”.
In 2025 they have already released the singles “Whispers in the Dark”, “In an awful winter day”, “Wake up now!”, “Roads” and “Strange Dreams”.
Although writing mainly in English, starting from 2009, after participating in the Tour Music Fest in Rome, The Lizards also began to explore writing in Italian.
Their music stands out for an engaging and dynamic sound, balanced between the most energetic rock and intimate and experimental atmospheres. Alongside distorted and powerful sounds, there are more delicate and mysterious moments, often enriched by electronic elements. What makes everything even more original is the alternation of the two voices: the female one, which recalls the sounds of Dolores O'Riordan, and the male one, capable of evoking the vocal depth of Matthew Bellamy.
The lyrics, often autobiographical and intimate in nature, also deal with social themes, giving the songs a reflective and profound dimension.
