At the end of June 1995 the Foo Fighters, at the time substantially Dave Grohl, released the first album. Thirty years later, in a delicate period after the death of Taylor Hawkins, the dismissal of Josh Freese, the revelation of having become a father out of the wedding, Grohl published a new song by Foo Fighters.
It is not an unpublished piece, but the cover of I Don't Wanna Hear It of 1981 of Ian Mackaye's minor Threat (then in Fugazi), key band of the 80s American hardcore. Grohl had recorded the instrumental part in 1995. He added the song this year.
It is not just a way to reconnect to the musical roots of Grohl, who was part of the Scream, band of the Washington DC hardcore lap, but also apparently to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the band since the publication is accompanied by the hashtag #FF30.
Foo Fighters prepare to return to the stages. They will do so in October and November with dates scheduled for now in Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Mexico.
