Jovanotti's marathon live in Rome begins tonight, on Tuesday 22 April. The first of ten concerts in the capital for Lorenzo Cherubini will be staged at the Palazzo dello Sport of Eur. Despite the death of Pope Francis and the consequent five days of national mourning proclaimed by the government, Jovanotti confirmed the Roman concerts scheduled for 23, 25, 26, 28 and 29 April, in addition to 1 and 2 May. The event on Saturday 26 April, however, will postpone one day, Sunday 27, for the simultaneous celebration of the funeral of Bergoglio in Rome.
In these hours several voices had spread on a possible cancellation of the events, but Jovanotti himself thought to clarify the situation by publishing a story about his Instagram profile. “The whole team of Palajova arrived in Rome yesterday morning and like all we learned the news of the death of Pope Francis. We will play in Rome starting tonight. Many have long planned to participate in these concerts, many arriving in Rome from afar”, wrote Jovanotti, “we will play and make the Roman concerts with all our impetus and our passion and more always. He wanted to all 9 billion inhabitants of the world, he repeated it every day of his pontificate.
Jovanotti's concert will start at 9 pm and propose a mix of new singles and hit in his repertoire. The ladder, always subject to variations between one show and the other, should be the following:

The stage is characterized by a single 22 × 8 meters and ten flowers and ten flowers with 1,300 kg rotating pods each, which travel for 50 meters along the buildings at a variable height, starting from 15 meters from the ground. The set -up was designed to create a unique and engaging visual experience for the public.
On the stage, the band that accompanies Jovanotti is made up of thirteen soloists of excellent level: Saturnino on bass, Christian “Noochie” rigano on keyboards, Adriano Viterbini on guitar, Leo di Angilla and Kalifa Kone to the rhythm, Carmine Landolfi on drums, Franco Santarnecchi on the piano, Gianluca Petrella in the wind section, Sopia Tomelleri at Sax, Camilla Rolando to the trumpet, Micol Touadi and Jennifer Vargas to the choirs, Moris Pradella to the choirs and second guitar. The sound engineer is Pinoxa Pino Pischerola.
Once the show series in Rome has been archived, Jovanotti will land at the Verona Arena for six concerts already sold out. The last two tour shows will take place on 30 and 31 May at the Unipol Arena in Bologna.
