Number Zero is the title of the new album by Manitobaavailable in digital stores from October 4, 2024. The album was preceded by the release of the singles Flowers and Kisses, Two stones, Matilda And Gianni Sadness.
Number Zero (Red Rain Discs), as the title also suggests, marks a new beginning for the duo. THE Manitoba they present it like this: “Numero Zero is our new album. The zero is in us because with these songs we have destroyed every certainty and rebuilt our identity. There are many references on the album: Beatles, David Byrne, Arcade Fire, Beck, but above all we let ourselves be guided by instinct and sounds, as we had never done before. These are the Manitobas, the Manitobas from Zero”.
The band made the choice of a new sound and a different approach in constructing the album. The work was conceived as a place where people could meet, as well as characters and musicians. Number Zero it is a sort of village, with its inhabitants and its events: all this is told in the different tracks. The characters are individuals marked by scars, who have transformed their pain into a new form of resilience. They are crushed and wounded beings, who have not adapted to the context, but have managed to resist while shedding their skin. Among these, there are also the Manitobawho have managed to remain united in the flow of time and debris.
