After the release of their debut single “Hunger“, i Well done Jesus Roger release their debut album.
A new chapter, available from Friday 8 November 2024 on all digital platforms in distribution Believe Music Italyentitled “Butter Es Jargo Va“, a debut album that will fry our eustachian tubes with unscrupulous catchphrases, three-headed riffs, rhymes, assonances, onomatopoeias, alliterations, and that right dose of madness that guarantees a restless sleep and an awakening on a marble floor and grappa .
We wanted to get to know them better, and we asked them what their five favorite songs were, and here's how it went
Metallica – Master of Puppets
One of those songs that, after conquering you in adolescence, never leaves you for the rest of your life.
Powerful and melodic, a thrash metal suite where there is everything, sharp riffs, airy arpeggios, unforgettable solos, uninterrupted headbanging.
Elio and the Tense Stories – The Revenge of the Cheese Ghost
For me the most complete and complex song by Elii, both in terms of the musical part, full of changes and quotes (one above all Jesus Christ Superstar), and for the lyrics which, as often happens in their discography, tells an absurd story and surreal by connecting the sentences with countless puns, some of which were discovered after years of listening.
Mariposa – Pterodactyls
It's a brilliant song for its simplicity.
A theme that repeats in unison as do the verses, it seems incredibly monotonous but this is precisely its strength because it doesn't get boring and as you continue listening you find yourself singing it involuntarily
Bugo – Another retch
Super danceable song with this jumping synthone.
The lyrics are brilliant and every time I listen to it I don't know whether to laugh or vomit.
Battles – Ice cream
Beautiful sounds… you hear the pickup truck coming.
And then John Stainer's dish on the tenth floor is always delicious.
