THE Variance they return with the new single “Sea of TimeFollowing the latest single “Bane”this new single “Sea of Time” is placed in a diametrically opposite way in its emotional sphere, leaving behind the darkest emotions and instead flourishing in the most positive and bright ones, condensing the spirit of the previous album Sight From a Lucid Dream in a single track.
Variance tell us their 5 favorite songs
ARCTIC MONKEYS – RU Mine
This song embodies the essence of what we want to bring to the stage: a mix of emotion, energy and that cool touch that makes the evening a blast.
There was never a time that we skipped over this song on our car rides, let alone wore out the entire album.
TEARS FOR FEARS – Everybody wants to rule the word
The classic that never sets, we always repeat to ourselves: “we are children of the 80s without ever having lived them” and yet this song manages to transport us into a dreamlike past in which colored sweaters combined with high-waisted jeans transport us into a future riding a hoverboard as if we were in an episode of Back to the Future.
The nostalgic mood that this song creates is one of a kind, the symbol of when with simple arrangements you can express an entire world that we would all like to be masters of.
PVRIS – What's wrong
If there's one song we can all agree should be taken as a reference to get carried away, it's this one.
When we listened to it live we looked at each other with astonished expressions: how is it possible to instantly find ourselves in another dimension, without even asking each other's permission?! A lilting rhythm that creeps into your brain, making you move without you realizing it, not to mention the infinite sounds that speak for themselves.
ENTER SHIKARI – Satellites
We left our hearts on this song. We were at Slam Dunk 2023, after playing on an immense stage, aware that they would then be there, Enter Shikari. Seeing them play afterwards was incredible but even more so during this song.
It is able to convey a state of happiness and sweet melancholy that we can't even describe. We immediately linked one of the most incredible days of our lives to this song and, every time it comes on the radio we are immediately transported back to that day. Feels rate: 10/10.
FALL OUT BOY – The Last Of The Real Ones
Looking out the window while the brain proposes a journey with open eyes and that this sensation can last forever.
It is the means by which for three minutes and fifty minutes we detach ourselves from reality, from the suffocating problems of daily life; for this reason, even if it is a short period of time, anxiety and stress seem like something far away.
