Riki Carillon: text and meaning of the new song
The song Carillon It looks like an intimate, reflective and night ballad. The author says that the single has arrived “late” compared to the initial plans, due to some personal problems that have kept him away from music for a few months.
The text is built on delicate and lonely images: the moon, the cracks in the ceiling, the wine drunk in silence. A frame of melancholy in which the protagonist faces loneliness, observing it almost with affection. Words become a mirror of night thoughts, where the dancer of a music box becomes a symbol of an imaginary dialogue, a discreet company to face silence and restlessness.
With a simple and direct language, Riki reflects on how difficult it is to stay with yourself, learn to accept and live the emotional void. But in that solitude there is also poetry, music and – perhaps – healing.
The text of the song
And I come back to look at what he surprised me
It's just another full moon
After all, it is always firm even if I approach me
And it's not worth it
What do you want it to be
Fantasize or talk to her about nothing
Even if only she shines and cradles me
Because he has no company
Silence has a new and sweeter echo if in the shade
There are those who chase it and there are those who scream on it
And there are those who open a bottle listen to it and then wait
That a sip burns her throat
Loneliness keeps distant
Because you are done for you and not for others
For those who cannot stay with them
The cracks a ceiling at three in the morning
What do I try instinctively
What I'm looking for in the fridge
How my appearance changes
When I drink on the bed
Two glasses of wine on the fly
Then the other slower
Everything is about to end
And the magic is discolored
Above my bedside table
The carillon
Turn my carillon
Dancer are with me
Until I fall asleep
Turn my carillon
Dancer are with me
Until I fall asleep
Turn my carillon
Dancer are with me
