Paolo Benvegnù with the album “È inutile parla d'amore” is the winner of the Targa Tenco as Best Album overall for 2024. Setak instead wins the Award for Best Album in dialect with “Assamanù”.
Best First Work Album goes to Elisa Ridolfi with “Curami l'anima”, while Simona Molinari is awarded for Best Performer Album with “Hasta Siempre Mercedes”. Diodato wins the award for Best Song with “La Mia Terra”, while the Best Project Album is “Sarò Franco – Canzoni inedite di Califano”.
Record result in the ballot phase with the participation of 239 voters! The award has been assigned since 1984 to “The best albums of the year” of singer-songwriters published during the year, or made available in any way to the public from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.
The works of the artists nominated for the Plaques are voted by a large and competent jury made up of experts, journalists and professionals chosen by the Tenco Club, which expresses its votes in the ways and times that are communicated to the association's jurors.

Paolo Benvegnù with the album “È inutile parla d'amore” (Woodworm, Universal Distribution) wins the award for BEST OVERALL ALBUM with 62 votes.
The other finalists, in order of preferences obtained, are: Vasco Brondi with “Un segno di vita” (50 preferences); Calcutta with “Relax” (45 preferences); Daniele Silvestri with “Disco X” (44 preferences); La Crus with “Proteggimi da quello che voglio” (35 preferences).
For the BEST ALBUM IN DIALECT (or minority language spoken in Italy) award, the most appreciated work is “Assamanù” by Setak with 74 votes.
The other finalists, in order of preferences obtained, are: Davide Van De Sfroos with “Manoglia” (53 preferences); Eleonora Bordonaro with “Roda” (47 preferences); Massimo Silverio with “Hrudja” (33 preferences); Mesudì with “Nodi” (9 preferences).
Elisa Ridolfi with the album “Curami l'anima” (Squilibri Editore) wins the BEST FIRST WORK ALBUM award with 64 votes.
The other finalists, in order of preferences obtained, are: Lamante with “In memoria di” (54 preferences); Marta Del Grandi with “Selva” (50 preferences); Andrea Satta with “Niente di nuovo tranne te” (43 preferences); Coanda with “Le vite altrosi” (6 preferences).
For the BEST PERFORMER ALBUM award, the most voted work is “Hasta Siempre Mercedes” (BMG) by Simona Molinari with 60 preferences.
The other finalists, in order of preferences obtained, are: Perturbazione with “La Buona Novella (dal vivo)” (56 preferences); Joe Barbieri with “Vulío” (39 preferences); Chiara Raggi and Giovanna Famulari with “In punta di corde” (31 preferences); Agnese Valle with “I miei uomini” (29 preferences); Alberto Patrucco with “AbBrassens” (19 preferences).
The BEST SINGLE SONG award, which goes to the authors of the song, was assigned to “La mia terra” (Carosello Records) by Diodato with 83 votes.
The other finalists, in order of preferences obtained, are: “L'oceano” by Paolo Benvegnù feat. Brunori Sas (59 preferences); “L'uomo nel lampo” by Paolo Jannacci and Stefano Massini (40 preferences); “La promessa della felicità” by Federico Sirianni (31 preferences); “La fioraia” by Agnese Valle (17 preferences).
Finally, the BEST PROJECT ALBUM, which goes to the producer, is “Sarò Franco – Canzoni inedite di Califano” (produced by Alberto Zeppieri) with 63 preferences.

The Tenco Award 2024 will be held on 17, 18 and 19 October 2024 as usual at the Ariston Theatre in Sanremo (Imperia). The festival dedicated to the most prestigious and renowned songwriter in our country, which this year celebrates the important milestone of 50 years, will also in this edition award one or more artists with the Tenco Award, assigned by the Tenco Club to the career of those who have made a significant contribution to the world of songwriters. The Tenco Club also awards the Tenco Award to the cultural operator and the Yorum Award, established in collaboration with Amnesty International Italy since 2020 to give visibility to artists who, often risking their lives, fight for human rights and freedom of expression all over the world.
