The new single by is available from 8pm on Wednesday 27 November on all digital platforms and in radio rotation Worth LP And Lil Jolie “You tell me when you're ready to make love“, with which the two young singer-songwriters introduced themselves to Sanremo Youth.
The song tells the poetic and carnal vision of love of the two artists, young women of generation Z, who see respect for themselves and others as the only rules that count, and try to remove the roles and stereotypes linked to tradition.
“You tell me when you're ready to make love has more than one reading plan and the first concerns love: “First of all it is an invitation to love: whoever you like, however you like. Because it's crazy not to; secondly it is an encouragement to love yourself, which is the most banal thing in the world but which – if we look around – seems to be the most difficult thing to do.
The song is also a story of courage, attention, the weight of expectations and consensus. When in the chorus we say “tell me when you're ready” we do it in a romantic sense but also in a more brazen way, also playing at reversing gender roles (“I work all day and you on a sofa”)” they tell Worth LP And Lil Jolie.
The two artists have been friends for 8 years, since they were teenagers, and after having undertaken separate musical careers, as soloists, they decide to start the new experience together Sanremo Youthreleasing this first song together, which they declare will then lead to a record and a tour.
Worth LP And Lil Jolie in fact, they have realized that they are able to overcome every battle and face every difficulty when they are together, giving even more value to the good things that happen, because they are experienced side by side.
The two young women write thus in a letter to fans published on social media: “When I returned home to Amici (and by home I mean where Vale is) it was like when we met 8 years ago for the first time in my room. With the same intensity, the same embarrassment, the same curiosity, the same desires, the same magic, the same desire. This time with the awareness of being ready to really tell who we are and with the certainty that we can only do it together.”
On Wednesday 27th November at 6.30pm the artists will celebrate the release of “You tell me when you're ready to make love” with fans at release party, which will be held at the Nodo Bar in Milan. Click here to book your place.
