Swift will now play in Argentina on Sunday, instead of Friday, to avoid the rain
Blame it on the rain: Swifties in Argentina with tickets to her show Friday will have to wait until Sunday to see her perform. Hours before she was set to perform, the singer announced that she’d have to postpone the concert due to the inclement weather.
“I love a rain show but I’m never going to endanger my fans or my fellow performers and crew,” she wrote on X. “We’ve rescheduled tonight’s Buenos Aires show for Sunday due to the weather being so truly chaotic it would be unsafe to try and put on this concert.”
“Good news is I get to stay in Argentina longer!!” she added.
Swift kicked off her three dates at Buenos Aires’ Estadio River Plate Thursday night, performing her Eras Tour in its entirety, and including Midnights‘ “Labyrinth” and Red (Taylor’s Version) vault song “The Very First Night” as surprise acoustic tracks.
After her shows in Argentina, she’ll head to Brazil for three shows at Rio de Janeiro’s Estadio Olimpico Nilton Santos and another three shows at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque. She’ll return to the Eras Tour in February with shows in Asia.
Friday was a big day for Swift as she became the most-nominated Song of the Year nominee in Grammy history thanks to a nod for “Anti-Hero.” Swift also tied the record for most nods in the Album of the Year category for a female artist, held by Barbra Streisand, thanks to Midnights.
Swift earned a total of six nominations this year. Along with Song of the Year, “Anti Hero” is up for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Midnights is also up for Best Pop Vocal Album, and “Karma” with Ice Spice is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
