Born in France in the early 90s from an idea of Jean-Louis Blot And Nagui, Taratata – At the Center of Music now arrives, after a brief period on Rai between 1998 and 2001, on Canale 5 with two special evening-events at the ChorusLife Arena Of Bergamo conducted by Paolo Bonoliscapable like few others of mixing irony, rhythm and depth in the story of this musical journey between great performances, extraordinary duets, performances full of strength and emotion, unreleased covers and other surprises.
“I like playing with music, especially when this sound clay is in the hands of great artists“, declared Paolo Bonolis. “After all, in both English and French, the same verb indicates both concepts (to play/jouer)”.
Calibrated thus returns to transform television into a place where music becomes a bridge between different generations, cultures and languages, bringing live music, played and shared, back to the center of the television story.
And, precisely from this point of view, the format represents a unicum: it is the exception that confirms the rule. In fact, on television programs singers are almost never allowed to perform live with their musicians.
TARATATA: GUESTS AND AIR
On air, in prime time, this evening and Monday 16 February, Calibrated will see you take turns on the stage of the ChorusLife Arena Of Bergamo twelve great artists of Italian music, to which they will also be added Giorgio Panariello and Edward Leo.
Each of them will bring some songs from their repertoire to the stage, but not only. In fact, each artist was asked to perform to the tune of a song that is close to their heart.
AND Bonolis? What is your favorite song? Paolo himself revealed it during a meeting with the press: Stand By Me. But then there is also Creep of the Radiohead and the entire repertoire of Queen. Because music, ultimately, for the well-known host is nothing more than the soundtrack of our memories.
And every memory, like every song, has precise geographical coordinates. Thus we arrive at narrative track where the train leaves from Calibratedthat is to say the places where songs are born: the province, the metropolis, the suburbs, or a dream.
