SHXCXCHCXSH is a parable that, in the ten years, raised them to cult figures in the most disturbing and avant -garde scene of the Techno industrial. The debut “StrCTHS” and, above all, the subsequent “linear s decoded” raised them to pillars of a fresh and innovative wave, which has restored lymph to the movement club: Between crooked rhythms and pervasive distortions, rather than songs, the two tritish splinters crazy in an atonal chaos imbued with emotional and cybernetic depth: a kinematic and introspective panorama, where sentient machines rebel after reflecting on their place in the universe. Over the balance between derealization and immersion, the music of the Swedish duo sounds like an esoteric ritual made by enigmatic sorcerers on a fiery satellite, as if it were a black metal version of the dance canons.
Yet, the balance of the two artists has always been complex, oscillating between exciting themes and dispersive experiments. Their vision, as bold as it is unsettling, requires a songwriting (if you can speak of this) incisive in order not to slip into self -referentiality. “…… T” embodies this dichotomy: on paper, the album is a scope of clamor, a flick of arranisms faithful to the first works, but perhaps the grafts of Deconstructed Clubthe passages without Kick Drum And the dissonances in odd times to renew a formula which, here, is so powerful but also repeated.
With a tracklist Of fifteen themes, there is a weight of perhaps superfluous moments, leaving the doubt that a more concise selection would have improved the overall impact. Let me be clear: many traces, taken individually, retain their evocative strength. “IIIJJJIII”, Tetra e fantasylooks like a nenia Dungeon Synth deprived of any mental lucidity; “Jljljljljljljlj”, however, proves to be a melancholy paroxysm, capable of combining expressive force and a hypnotic sound tension. In an attempt to restart through a werewolf rebirth, “…… t” is filled with many concepts, perhaps too many, resulting in fascinating but also fiercely harmless, at least their standards.
