Gary Kemp, British singer-songwriter and historic member of Spandau Ballet, returns with his third solo album, “This Destination”, out on January 31, 2025 on East West Records. The album was preceded by the single “Put Your Head Up”. The guitarist, songwriter and co-founder of the famous English band has been touring around the world with Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets (Pink Floyd) since 2018, together with bandmate and fellow host of the Rockonteurs podcast, Guy Pratt. “With them and Nick I am more sure of what I can give as an interpreter, people have seen me in a different light – said Kemp – Being with Saucerful of Secrets has allowed me not to think about Spandau Ballet or anyone else other than to me, as an artist. Making music today makes me feel free and excites me. I don't have the voice of Tony Hadley (frontman of Spandau Ballet, ed) but I sing with my heart.”

Outside of music, Kemp, who studied at Anna Sher's Children's Theatre, has acted on screen and stage in numerous television, film and stage productions, including a starring role in the 1990s British thriller “The Krays” along to his brother and bandmate Martin Kemp. In 1992, Kemp appeared in “The Bodyguard,” starring Whitney Houston and in 2015 he performed in Jamie Lloyd's West End productions of Harold Pinter's “The Homecoming,” “Party Time” and “Celebration.” Kemp's new effort follows 2021's “Insolo.” “This Destination” is his most personal song to date and finds the singer-songwriter channeling his thoughts and feelings about the past, present and future through haunting storytelling and character work. The album is defined as both semi-autobiographical and an exercise in empathetic scenography.
