Third album for Soap & skinMoniker behind which the Austrian musician and producer Anja Plaschg is hidden. 'From Gas to Solid / You Are My Friend' is his first album in six years (Play It Again Sam), and follows the lucky episodes 'Lovetune for Vacuum' of 2009 and 'Narrow' (which arrived at No 1 in Austria) of 2012.
The album unfolds in a series of curious “musical alliances”; It is an infusion of a laid electronics, of military percussion, but at the same time a choral atmosphere emerges, mixed with ground, ethereal splendor.
Dilated, surprising, wide -ranging and dynamic beauty.
Mainly recorded at home, in a quiet green corner of Vienna, the disc is not only self-produced, but also entirely played by Soap & Skin.
